Mobilegs Crutch Review

I badly fractured and dislocated my ankle about 2 weeks ago. I was told I'd be on crutches (or "non-weight bearing") for at least 6 weeks. When the ER gave me crutches, and I tried them out for the very first time ever (I've never needed them before) I wanted to cry from something other than the pain in my ankle - I could not believe how hard they were to use and how unbelievably uncomfortable they were. I thought I'd be forced to sit on the couch for 6 weeks - a hard prospect to imagine with a professional occupation and 2 kids at home. It occurred to me that women may suffer even more from traditional crutches, given that we don't have as much upper body strength as men. My shoulders were in knots after the first two days, my elbows throbbing, and my hands numb.

I remembered having seen a story about your crutches on a tv show about new inventions and did a google search to find them. I bought the Ultras, which arrived the morning of my ankle surgery. I can't tell you what a difference they have made – I no longer dread doing simple things like going to the bathroom for fear of falling or pain in my hands and shoulders. The Mobilegs have made such a difference in the recuperation from my injury that I feel that not only I, but my entire family, have benefited from them. They are really an experience-changing product. The only thing I don't understand is why hospitals haven't switched from traditional crutches to Mobilegs. If there's any way I can help you with that campaign, please let me know!

Thank you for creating such a terrific product,
Jessica
