When a broken heel relegated designer Jeff Weber to life on crutches for an extended time, he realized that the standard issue crutch, which probably originated from the crotch of a handy tree branch, was all-wrong. Instead of resigning himself to misery on top of injury, as 4 million Americans do every year, he set out to do something about it. He re-examined the problem and after years of research and development, landed upon an entirely new assisted mobility solution that was so agile, so functional and so comfortable it actually facilitates movement not just stabilization. Realizing that nothing this revolutionary should be called a crutch, he dubbed it Mobi.
